Who would have thought five years ago that April 1st could become a "national holiday" in Ukraine? A day of victory over the instinct for self-preservation, over common sense? I'm not exaggerating, unfortunately. I see this threat. Even if you don't know anything behind the scenes, on the eve of the elections, all the signs of what they're cooking up for us and why the Kremlin is rubbing its hands have come to the surface. And what millions of Ukrainians might, consciously or not, fall for. I'm not writing about these "citizens" because citizens think first and foremost not about their own stomachs, hype, or entertainment, but about their country. Most of those on the candidate list, in my opinion, aren't thinking about the country. At least, not about a country called "Ukraine." Moscow sees this perfectly well and hopes for the best. For themselves. They don't seem to need much for now. Populists and negotiable ("peace-loving," as they say) politicians on Bankova Street and in the Verkhovna Rada. Then chaos. Then war. And the de facto absorption of Ukraine. In fact, they're not particularly hiding their plans. They've been waging a hybrid war on the Ukrainian electoral field for a long time, and now they're entering the decisive battle. So far, they've been very successful in this war. What can we do to counter this? All responsible citizens should go to the polls on March 31st and put an end to Russia's hopes of deceiving, dividing, pitting, and devouring us.
